DIFF 2026 takes place for over a month with 10 international fireworks teams
According to the organizers, DIFF 2026 carries the theme “Da Nang – United Horizons” (Da Nang – United Horizons). The festival will take place at the Han River port area, lasting from late May to mid-July with a series of special artistic activities and fireworks performances.
This year, the festival gathers 10 fireworks teams from 9 countries and territories, including: Vietnam, China, Japan, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Australia, and Macau (China). Notably, there are 4 teams participating for the first time, promising to bring many new and more diverse performance styles to the festival. The teams will compete through several nights with their own themes, combining fireworks, music, and modern lighting effects, creating "artistic feasts" in the sky of Da Nang.
Expected schedule of the DIFF 2026 Fireworks Festival
According to the plan, DIFF 2026 will consist of 6 performance nights, including 5 qualifying nights and one final night. The fireworks nights will be held on weekends, with two teams competing directly each night with their own themes.
The tentative schedule includes:
May 30, 2026: Opening night: Vietnam - China, theme “Nature”.
June 6, 2026: France - Vietnam (Z121 Vina Pyrotech), theme “Heritage”.
June 13, 2026: Japan - Italy, theme “Culture”.
June 20, 2026: Germany - Macau (China), theme “Creativity”.
June 27, 2026: Australia - Portugal, theme “Vision”.
July 11, 2026: Final between the two best teams.

Summer tourism highlights in Da Nang
DIFF has long been an international-level cultural – tourism event of Da Nang, attracting hundreds of thousands of domestic and international tourists each organizing season. Not only fireworks displays, the festival also comes with many activities such as art programs, street festivals, and riverside food and entertainment events.
Extending the organization period by more than a month helps tourists have more opportunities to experience, while contributing to stimulating tourism and services in the coastal city during the summer peak season.
Expectation to continue creating a "boost" for Da Nang's tourism
With international scale, the participation of leading fireworks teams along with a series of events lasting many weeks, DIFF 2026 is expected to continue affirming Da Nang's position as a "summer festival capital" of Vietnam.
