Impressive stage of DIFF 2026
"Heritage" of Da Nang expressed through fireworks
The second competition night, a showdown between the reigning runner-up Z121 Vina Pyrotech from Vietnam and the accomplished newcomer Lux Factory POK 2.0 from France, delivered two distinct approaches, yet united by a spirit of honoring heritage values.
The French team narrated the story of Heritage in their performance themed “Heritage – Da Nang Shines” using cinematic and layered fireworks, recreating the cultural layers intertwined through historical periods and the beauty of Da Nang on its journey of international integration. Despite being newcomers, the French team took the audience from one surprise to another, transforming the Da Nang sky into an enchanting stage of light.
The French team recreated the historical and cultural timeline of Da Nang with brilliant fireworks
Multicolor titan tail fireworks, soft falling leaves effect, and glittering waterfalls stretching across the sky created layered images like cultural sediments. The climax of the performance was clusters of golden fireworks blooming simultaneously, illuminating the entire Han River, as a tribute to the heritage beauty and vitality of the riverside city.
Meanwhile, Z121 Vina Pyrotech from Vietnam affirmed its class as the reigning runner-up of DIFF 2025, bringing audiences fireworks displays rich in Vietnamese heritage, familiar and full of identity.

A special highlight in the performance of Vietnam's Z121 team was the recreation of the image of the palm tree - the symbol of the Ancestral Land Phu Tho - using modern fireworks technology. The climax was the moment the sky of Da Nang lit up with fireworks to the tune of "Noi Vong Tay Lon" (Great Circle of Unity) echoing amidst the audience's singing along and incessant applause,
"Absolutely amazing! The Z121 Vietnam team didn't just perform fireworks, they ignited national pride through light art. Last year I was incredibly proud watching Z121's performance, and that's why my family and I returned to watch DIFF this year, and it was truly worth it" - shared Mr. Pham Van Lam (Hai Phong).
An Artistic Feast Honoring Heritage Values
Elevating the artistic experience, the second competition night of DIFF 2026 also treated the audience to a "grand music festival" by the Han River with the participation of renowned artists such as Dong Hung, Thuy Dung, Hong Minh, Kieu Oanh, Nhat Mai, Ny Ny Nguyen… If fireworks were moments that made "heritage" soar, then the artistic performances on stage were the sources of emotion connecting Da Nang's heritage values, from tangible to intangible, taking the audience on a journey to discover cultural beauty through music, dance, and performance art.
Grand art festival honoring heritage values
The opening performance "Sea God Nam Hai" by singer Dong Hung and the dance troupe helped the competition night begin more heroically than ever with a stage that breathed the sea, vividly recreating the spiritual life of the residents of the central coast region, where stories about the sea have long been a part of the local cultural identity.
Next, the immortal songs "Hymne à l'amour" took the audience to the romantic beauty of French culture, or "Chieu Hoi An", "Vu nu Apsara ben song Han" and "Bay qua mien di san" expanded the journey to explore the unique cultural values of Da Nang and the Central region.
Meritorious Artist Quang Hao, Director of Trung Vuong Theatre, Art Director of DIFF 2026 shared: "Through the art stage with the theme of Heritage of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival DIFF, we want to introduce to international friends a miniature Vietnam and a Central region with too many heritages".
After the success of the opening night, the attraction of DIFF continues to spread strongly. With the danh xưng Top 9 festivals worth visiting on the planet voted by Travel + Leisure, this year's festival is making Da Nang the center of the Asian summer.
This year, DIFF for the first time brings audiences personalized "digital gifts" powered by artificial intelligence (AI) technology through the Sun Paradise Land application. With just a few steps, visitors can turn their moments with fireworks into vintage-style stamps, design electronic postcards to send to relatives. These new experiences not only extend the emotions after the show but also help each audience member bring back a very personal memory of the DIFF 2026 season.
